Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is Spain’s national supercomputing center and an international research institution specializing in high-performance computing (HPC). It develops advanced computational technologies and conducts multidisciplinary research in computer, life, earth, engineering, and computational social sciences.

BSC manages MareNostrum, one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers, and supports scientific discovery, innovation, and technology transfer through collaborations with academia, industry, and public institutions. Its mission is to advance science and society by applying cutting-edge computing to address complex scientific and societal challenges.

Role in GRAIL

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center is a research partner. It contributes its expertise in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and responsible AI to support the development of trustworthy, human-centred solutions.
