GRAIL use cases
Implementation of GRAIL AI Foundational Model in European strategic sectors
GRAIL will be validated across five strategic manufacturing sectors: automotive, aerospace, intralogistics, steel and electronics.
Each application scenario will test how the GRAIL model adapts to complex industrial environments, performs across different robotic platforms and transfers its capabilities from one task or setting to another and, at the same time, serve as an umbrella for wider validation in additional sectors, trough the Open Calls and Testing Hubs.
- Automotive
Enables flexible automation for deformable materials through adaptive control, improving ergonomics and safe human-robot collaboration.
Combines CAD data and compliant control for precise hose routing and component insertion in confined spaces with full traceability.
- Intralogistics
Empowers mobile robots to pick and handle unfamiliar items on the fly, enabling fast adaptation without constant reprogramming.
Uses multi-modal data and fast decision-making to identify and remove hazardous scrap in harsh, high-speed steel manufacturing environments.
- Electronics
Integrates 3D vision and force sensing to automate delicate component insertion and flexible wiring, boosting first-time-right assembly.
